WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go L.C. announced the opening of its newest store in Stillwater, Okla. The 3,400-square-foot store, which opened Friday, took nearly four months to construct and is located a mile and a half from the Oklahoma State University campus. A tenant will fill the adjoining 1,700-square-feet of building space in the near future.
“We are thrilled to offer a Kum & Go location for the residents and college students of Stillwater and surrounding areas,” said Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president and CEO. “Kum & Go provides superior service [image-nocss] on top of offering a large selection of quality products. We are excited to begin building relationships with businesses and patrons within the community.”
The new store features eight conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, mid-grade, premium and diesel fuels. There is also one additional fuel dispenser customized for larger vehicles.
The store also features a wide selection of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2O nutraceutical waters. The West Des Moines, Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the well-known Hiland brand name in its stores.
Last year, Kum & Go was voted No. 1 in customer service out of seven major convenience-store chains and earned the national Excellence in Customer Service Outlook Award. All customers can expect friendly and helpful associates, a well-kept store and reasonable prices, according to the company. “We want Kum & Go to become Stillwater 's store of choice for coffee or pop in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between,” Krause said.
As part of Kum & Go 's commitment to developing environmentally friendly building and operating practices, the new Stillwater store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler-door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.
This is the first Kum & Go location in the Stillwater area and the 52nd store in the state of Oklahoma, including a location in Owasso that opened earlier this month. Kum & Go plans to continue its growth in Oklahoma with three new stores—one each in Owasso, Lone Chimney and Coweta—all scheduled to open later this year.
Kum & Go has more than 430 convenience stores in 12 states (Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wyoming and Wisconsin).Members help make our journalism possible.
