Wine charged with developing, leading product innovation strategy

SIMSBURY, Conn. -- The Veeder-Root Co. has appointed Scott W. Wine as president. Wine will have global responsibility for developing and leading the strategy and execution of Veeder-Root's business objectives and product innovation.

Wine succeeds Brian Burnett as president of Simsbury, Conn.-based Veeder-Root. During his three years at Veeder-Root, Burnett significantly improved profitability by effective geographic expansion, successful introduction of a range of new products and leveraging core synergies between Veeder-Root and Gilbarco Veeder-Root, [image-nocss] the company said.

Veeder-Root's history of innovation and customer focused growth is impressive, Wine said. The company has several exciting product innovations coming to market later this year, and I am confident that Veeder-Root is well positioned to expand its role as a world leader in environmental compliance technologies.

Veeder-Root is a leading global supplier of automatic tank gauging and fuel management systems, including the Red Jacket brand of submersible pumps and pressurized line leak detectors. Along with Gasboy, it is a subsidiary of Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root, supplier of integrated fuel control, site management and support services for petroleum marketers and commercial fueling enterprises worldwide.
