VERC Enterprises Receives Best of Plymouth Award

U.S. Commerce Association recognizes retailer for fourth consecutive year
DUXBURY, MA, April 1, 2011 -- For the fourth consecutive year, VERC Enterprises has been selected for the Best of Plymouth Award in the Convenience Stores category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA), a New York City-based organization established to promote local businesses across the United States.

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. "We're honored to once again be the recipient of this award," said Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC Enterprises. "The USCA was established to recognize the best of local businesses in their communities, it means a great deal to us to be among those honored."

VERC Enterprises is the region's leading, independent chain of convenience stores and gas stations, with 23 locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. The company began more than 35 years ago with a single car wash in Marshfield, in a business founded by Eugene Vercollone. The firm has more than 190 employees.
