What C-Stores Are Among Top 100 Retailers?

Only two pure-play convenience store chains made NRF's 2014 list

WASHINGTON --7-Eleven Inc. and Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. were the only pure-play convenience store chains to crack the STORES Magazine Top 100 Retailers ranking for 2014, based on U.S. sales.

Dallas-based 7-Eleven, which operates 7,974 U.S. c-stores, took the No. 35 slot, while Laval, Quebec-based Couche-Tard, which operates 3,826 Circle K c-stores, came in at No. 82. Major grocer and c-store retailer Kroger took the No. 2 positon after Wal-Mart.

Amazon.com joined the ranks of the 10 largest retailers in America for the first time, rising to No. 9 from No. 11.
