Wilson Farms Selects Market Information Partner

Will make scanner-based sales data available for measurement service

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Wilson Farms Inc. said it has signed an agreement with The Nielsen Co. to facilitate the collection and reporting of the convenience retailer's scan information.

Wilson Farms that operates 199 stores across the state of New York.

Under the agreement between the two companies, Wilson Farms will make scanner-based sales information available to Nielsen for inclusion in its ConvenienceTrack retail measurement service, including account-level reporting. At the same time, Nielsen will provide Wilson Farms with market-level [image-nocss] retail and consumer information that the company will use to benchmark its results and work with manufacturers to improve category management and performance.

We are pleased to partner with The Nielsen Co. to make our point-of-sale information available to the marketplace as part of ConvenienceTrack, said Nick Gallegos, vice president of sales and marketing and general partner of Wilson Farms. In addition, this agreement will enhance the capability of our category managers and supplier partners to make fact-based and consumer-driven decisions.

Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores, established in 1969, currently operates 199 convenience store and gas station locations across New York state.
