CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas --Stripes Convenience Stores is hosting three "Neighborhood and Community NASCAR Celebrations" as part of welcoming Sunoco fuel, the official fuel of NASCAR, to Abilene, Texas. The entire community is invited to join Stripes team members at the following locations on June 22 and 23.
It is hosting five similar celebrations in the Midland and Odessa areas on June 24, 25 and 26.
Each event includes special appearances by NASCAR Show Car No. 88 and Stripes mascots. In addition, customers will have a chance to win a $25 Stripes gift card, play games and sample delicious food from Laredo Taco Co.
Former Dallas Cowboys player, Larry Brown, will make appearances at several of the Midland/Odessa locations.
Stripes is also hosting neighborhood and community summer celebrations at additional locations.
These locations now offer Sunoco Fuel—unleaded, unleaded, super unleaded and diesel—along with a dining area which seats 20, “the beer super cooler” – a designated cooler for beer/adult beverages set to cool below 32 Degrees Fahrenheit, “the wall” – a creative space for customers to customize their beverages with over 1.2 billion possible fountain combinations, as well as, 6,000 square feet of customer conveniences.
The Corpus Christi, Texas-based company operates more than 675 convenience stores in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, more than 600 under the Stripes banner and 44 under the Sac-N-Pac banner. Restaurant service is available in more than 440 of its stores, primarily under the proprietary Laredo Taco Co. brand.
