AutoGas Pairs With PAR

Its POS software now operates on PAR Technology platform

ABILENE, Texas -- AutoGas Systems Inc. recently announced that its point-of-sale (POS) software will now be operated on PAR Technology hardware in order to provide a more stable and rugged platform to better serve petroleum and convenience store retailers.

ParTech, a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corp. has a proven 27-year track record of serving the fast-food and hotel industries. AutoGas is the first company to use the ParTech technology platform in the c-store and petroleum retail arenas, it said.

AutoGas has selected [image-nocss] the new ParTech platform because of the hardware provider's extensive support network. ParTech manufactures all its equipment domestically and has one of the longest equipment life cycles in the industry, it said. The company has extensive experience manufacturing POS hardware and has sold more than 500,000 terminals since its inception. PAR has four-hour onsite service support in most U.S. locations and support is performed by PAR employees.

AutoGas works with petroleum retailers to develop flexible, customized POS systems for their stores. When a retail store wants to institute a specific programming change in order to address a specific business need, AutoGas's programmers work with them to alter the software to fit their specifications. The changes can then be rolled out and operational in all of the chain's store locations within a matter of hours, the company said.

Abilene, Texas-based AutoGas is a provider of retail fuel automation, from POS solutions and dispenser control systems, to loyalty programs. It continues to develop cross-merchandising solutions based on its patented price-per-unit savings' methodology.

PAR Technology, New Hartford, N.Y., is a provider of professional services and enterprise business intelligence software and hardware to the hospitality industry.
