BroadSign Digital Signage Software to Power Digital Promo Network

Targeting c-stores with in-store video

MINNETONKA, Minn. -- BroadSign International Inc. said that Digital Promo Network LLC (DPN) will use the BroadSign Suite to deploy a digital signage network in an expected 500 convenience stores by the end of 2007, with plans to expand the network to 2,000 stores over the next 18 months.

BroadSign provides hosted software for powering digital signage networks in stores, restaurants, malls and transportation hubs. Its digital signage network software will allow DPN's advertisers to buy and schedule in-store video spots in a targeted and efficient manner [image-nocss] and manage networked content from one central location.

Each c-store location will have up to two screens that will play ads promoting the products sold in-store as well as other relevant information and entertainment content. The full-color digital displays, managed by BroadSign software, will allow the stores to capture the attention of customers, increasing the performance of its point-of-purchase (POP) strategy.

The playlist creation process is automated and flexible. We can easily adjust the loop length and ad slots to the customers' dwell time, track the results and make quick modifications when needed, said Gary Quasebarth, vice president of operations at Harvard, Mass.-based DPN.

Marketers will be able to see how their in-store advertising affects product sales by correlating BroadSign's proof-of-play reports with point-of-sale (POS) data. The deployment follows a series of pilots that showed a steady increase in sales of advertised products from 10% to 200% depending on the product category.

Network operators like [DPN] are seasoned media professionals with a great vision and a lot of hands-on expertise in digital signage, said Rick Engels, president and CEO of BroadSign International. By applying our proven digital signage technology to their business needs, we are able to enhance their business now and into the future.

Minnetonka, Minn.-based BroadSign is a provider of hosted solutions for managing digital signage networks. The software enables media specialists to target, sell or purchase network airtime and account for campaign performance.
