Casey’s Mobile App Reaches 1 Million Downloads

Has helped chain improve service and provide value: CEO

ANKENY, Iowa --Casey’s General Stores’ mobile app has surpassed 1 million downloads since its launch in January 2016. The app was built by GasBuddy’s Retailer Services, the maker of GasBuddy Business Pages, which links to the consumer-facing GasBuddy app.

Casey’s mobile app includes features and functions that enable its consumers to order pizza, made-to-order sub sandwiches and appetizers remotely. Casey’s recently completed the implementation of online ordering in all its convenience stores, and the app makes ordering even more convenient for customers using their mobile devices.

Casey’s General Stores Inc., with headquarters in Ankeny, Iowa, owns and operates more than 1,950 convenience stores in 15 states, with the majority in the Midwest. The stores offer self-service gasoline, a variety of grocery items and prepared foods, such as pizza and doughnuts, chicken tenders and sub sandwiches. Casey’s operates its own distribution centers, delivering about 90% of in-store products and about 75% of the fuel sold at stores.

GasBuddy is a smartphone app connecting drivers with what it calls the Perfect Pit Stop. With 70 million downloads, GasBuddy is the leader in crowdsourced information to help drivers find the best gas prices, closest stations, friendliest service, cleanest restrooms, tastiest coffee and more.
