MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Systech Corp., a provider of Internet Payment Gateways, and CBE, a distributor of Verifone Ruby POS systems, has announced plans for CBE to market and support Systech IPG/7000 dial-to-IP converters to retail petroleum merchants nationwide.
"We tested and piloted multiple solutions in this category," said Loring White, CEO of CBE.
With the CBE-offered Systech solution, merchants have the flexibility to convert from dialup to the speed and cost savings of broadband IP without new expenditures for POS hardware [image-nocss] or software, the companies said.
Payment transactions from in-store POS controllers, ATMs, standalone POS terminals and check readers can be connected to the Systech converters and routed to popular retail petroleum processors including Lynk, Paymentech, Buypass and NBS.
Nonpayment devices such as tank monitors and electronic safes may use the same Systech device to gain broadband access and improve return on investment.
Multiple configurations of the Systech gateways are available to match the varied needs of merchants. Standalone POS payment terminals connect to Systech gateway devices using an RJ-11 telephone connection. Multi-terminal POS payment controllers connect to the Systech gateway using a serial modem connection.
