CHS Selects DTN G3

System will manage fuel supply for Cenex

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. -- CHS Inc. has selected DTN Guardian3 (G3) terminal automation system to manage fuel supply at its terminals supplying Cenex-brand energy products. CHS will use DTN G3 to customize reporting from its terminals for better insight into product liftings, to keep trucks loading efficiently and maintain business and government compliance records.

CHS also subscribes to DTN TABS, a system that helps manage credit limits and allocations for customers and trading partners. DTN TABS gives CHS control over product allocation and customer [image-nocss] credit. Using DTN G3 and DTN TABS together provides CHS with a comprehensive solution that improves supply management which is considered vital in today's volatile fuel marketplace where there are increasing costs.

DTN G3 is a terminal automation system that allows operators to manage sites efficiently while providing data capabilities that exceed sophisticated terminal requirements of data exchange, reporting, inventory management and governmental regulations. Terminal managers can quickly anticipate shortages, readily adjust allocation and take advantage of real-time inventory balancing. Recent upgrades to DTN G3 have focused on improving terminal security and safe fuel loading.

We're able to alert customers as they reach their allocation limit and keep adequate fuel supply on reserve so our best customers have access to the amounts they need, said, Corey McIlvain, CHS I & E engineering supervisor.

CHS is implementing DTN TABS at our third-party terminals, said Lisa Dombek, energy billing manager at CHS. We like DTN TABS because it delivers real-time information about loads, we can use it for customer allocations, we can get email alerts, if there is terminal inactivity we're alerted to it. DTN TABS gives us the ability to manage our business, and remain customer focused.

DTN offers solutions to meet the demands of the downstream supply chain. Working in tandem with DTN Guardian Host remote multi-terminal management software, DTN TABS and DTN PetroEx for billing software and BOL information, DTN G3 integrates into corporate network environments allowing terminal operations personnel to meet business needs within the framework of their processes.

DTN G3 supports all current industry standard reporting formats offering the ability to email reports, export to external data formats (Excel, Word, PDF) as well as remote management capabilities to monitor loading, update records and run offsite reports. A flexible reporting process satisfies internal and customer data needs, resulting in improved organization for audits, tax reporting, mandatory state and federal documentation as well as other office needs. Customizable records of daily operations help operators quickly analyze terminal activity and profitability.
