Cumberland Gulf Selects FuelQuest ForeSite

Using map-based fuel inventory management to enhance replenishment capabilities
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- The Cumberland Gulf Group of Cos., the largest convenience store and petroleum marketer in the Northeast, has forged a new agreement with FuelQuest Inc., a leading on-demand software and services company for the global downstream energy industry. Under this agreement, Cumberland Gulf will use ForeSite, decision support software for automated fuel management.

ForeSite will provide real-time, map-based inventory views of more than 950 sites across 11 states.

"ForeSite is an excellent addition to our overall fuel management strategy," said Greg Scott, [image-nocss] senior vice president of terminal operations and petroleum distribution for Cumberland Gulf. "We can quickly determine the health of our fuel network; identify problem areas and trends; and drill-down into detailed site, tank, and fuel inventory information."

Cumberland Gulf, already a FuelQuest Fuel Management System (FMS) customer, will leverage ForeSite capabilities to improve further fuel purchase decision-making, reduce runouts and retains and enhance inventory visibility.

ForeSite capabilities include: Inventory Monitoring: Real-time inventory status and forecasting with automated data capture. Exception Indicators: Early warning indicators of non-compliant inventory conditions. Geographical Mapping: Map-based view of fuel inventories and suppliers. OnboardNow: Rapid deployment with little to no IT investment.

"The Cumberland Gulf Group of Cos. is a forward-thinking company that utilizes technology as a competitive advantage. Their adoption of ForeSite underscores the value of real-time, map-based views into retail and distributor fuel networks," said Scott Cilento, FuelQuest senior vice president of operations.
