SHERMAN, Texas -- Douglass Distributing has announced a partnership with Patriot Capital to offer its dealer network priority access to Patriot’s heralded Easy EMV program.
The program will allow fuel marketers in Douglass’ distribution network to finance and install upgraded fuel dispensers and other equipment that meets the new Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) payment security standards.
Easy EMV allows convenience-store and gas-station owners to unlock the value of the planned upgrades as the collateral in an arrangement that better aligns financing with the cash flow of the business.

Beyond offering a mechanism to upgrade gasoline dispensers for EMV prior to the October 2017 forecourt liability shift, retailers may also use Easy EMV to finance in-store payment equipment upgrades in the wake of the Oct. 1 point-of-sale (POS) deadline for EMV compliance.
