Dresser Wayne Adds Security Systems

Technology designed to deter fuel, data theft

AUSTIN, Texas -- Dresser Wayne has announced new forecourt security technology that helps prevent theft of fuel and payment card data. Dispenser Secure Access is a fuel dispenser alarm and monitoring system that helps protect against unauthorized fuel dispenser entry. It provides fuel retailers with a layer of security against increasing fuel and data theft.

"Security is a serious concern for retailers and consumers," said Scott Negley, director of dispenser marketing. "Our Dispenser Secure Access helps to address the problem of forced entry. We have leveraged our expertise [image-nocss] in forecourt security to build a solution to act as a deterrent to criminals from gaining access to internal components."

Dispenser Secure Access is available in two versions. Retailers can choose the level of protection that is right for their business. Dispenser Secure Access Local Alert sounds an alarm and shuts down the dispenser when the door is opened without proper authorization. Dispenser Secure Access plus iSense offers the added protection of Dresser Wayne's iSense Premium Help Desk offering, providing real-time remote monitoring and alert capabilities.

The Dresser Wayne security options include a new bezel locking kit for additional site security. Used alone or with Dispenser Secure Access, this kit leverages industry-proven heavy duty, secure locks to provide an added measure of site security, helping to deter thieves from opening dispensers. Both Dispenser Secure Access and the bezel locks are available as factory loaded options on new Dresser Wayne Ovation fuel dispensers, as well as in upgrade kits for installed Ovation and Vista fuel dispensers.

Other security offerings from Dresser Wayne include the PCI-compliant iX Pay secure payment terminal. Designed to evolve as payment security standards develop, the terminal encrypts information at the dispenser payment keypad.
