DTN Launches Upgrades

G3 and DTN Exchange get enhancements

OMAHA, Neb. -- DTN, a business-to-business provider of transaction management and real-time market information services, has launched a new release of its Guardian3 (DTN G3) terminal automation system and new enhancements to the DTN Exchange.

With the new release of DTN G3, terminal operators using the system can combat increasing regulatory and customer demands, while eliminating the headaches associated with proper handling of challenging new products in tightened supply situations.

DTN G3 now offers better handling [image-nocss] and processing of bills of lading (BOLs), management of product allocation, and reporting of book inventory in real-time. Terminal operators can enter comments as well as easily create and modify BOLs. Any changes to a BOL are recorded saving a unique copy of the data with every change to pass audits and allow customers to handle paperless BOLs.

New flexible product allocation wizards allow operators to insert, update and delete allocation data quickly. Also, new government regulations are supported as DTN G3 is the only major terminal automation system on the market accepted as an electronic participant in the ExSTARS electronic filing program.

Meanwhile, sellers using the DTN Exchange, an online trading platform, can now link their fuel prices to the NYMEX RBOB Gasoline futures contract an important first for the ethanol-blended fuel making a smooth transition through this industry change from MTBE.

Sellers who use the DTN Exchange can link proprietary pricing formulas to real-time tick averages from the NYMEX for live prices that fluctuate with market conditions. Buyers on the DTN Exchange can purchase fuel at the speed of the Internet, reducing the inefficiencies and lag time associated with multiple phone calls with sellers. Electronic transaction data automatically integrates into back-office systems to speed contract and billing processes.
