Flying Eagle Truck Stop Selects FuelQuest

Will use Fuel Center for outsourced fuel management services

WICHITA, Kansas -- Flying Eagle Truck Stop has signed a five-year contract with FuelQuest Inc., a leading on-demand software and services company for the global downstream energy industry. Under the agreement, FuelQuest Fuel Center will provide outsourced fuel management services including sourcing, replenishment and reconciliation for Flying Eagle's three Kansas locations.

"A volatile fuel market and competition from larger chains put pressure on my fuel business," said Mike Sira, owner of Flying Eagle Truck Stop. "By outsourcing fuel management to Fuel Center, I gain [image-nocss] access to an extensive fuel supplier and carrier network as well as industry best practices and expertise. Fuel Center allows me to offer more competitively priced fuel to my customers without having to manage the day-to-day fuel operations."

Fuel Center reduces fuel costs and ensures security of fuel supply for its customers. The service uses a team of fuel experts and FuelQuest Fuel Management System (FMS) software to procure fuel at the lowest price and deliver it at the right time. Acting as a supplier-independent extension of the customer, Fuel Center manages the full lifecycle of that fuel including management of multi-site inventory and verification of fuel, freight and tax charges.

"FuelQuest is excited to have Flying Eagle as its latest truckstop customer," said Ryan Mossman, vice president and general manager of FuelQuest. "Fuel Center helps Flying Eagle and other truck stops optimize their fuel buying so they can compete more effectively, drawing more customers to the pump and inside the store."
