Former Yahoo! Exec Now Outcast

Digital out-of-home media firm names Lyden as product strategy VP
SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Outcast, a leading digital out-of-home media company that offers TV at the gasoline dispenser, said that Sean Lyden has joined the company as vice president of product strategy. Lyden will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for developing Outcast's product strategy. He will report to chief media officer Nathan Gill.

Lyden joins Outcast from Yahoo! Inc., where he served as senior manager of international product strategy. There, he played a key role in developing the company's news, sports and entertainment properties worldwide.

Prior [image-nocss] to Yahoo!, Lyden was director of business development at Internet Brands Inc., where he managed the product and business development initiatives for the company's automotive websites, including CarsDirect.com. He also held a senior product position at Move Inc., leading a product turnaround for the flagship Realtor.com site and an operations planning role at The Walt Disney Co.

"Sean's deep understanding of new media and track record of driving consumer acceptance of interactive services while increasing advertiser value will expand Outcast's leadership in delivering effective, measurable media for our advertising clients," said Gill.

Outcast is one of the largest digital out-of-home networks, reaching valuable on-the-go consumers at multiple touchpoints throughout the day. Outcast boasts the most measurable at-the-pump digital network and an extensive retail network, with partners that include Shell, ConocoPhillips, Holiday Superstations, Walgreens, Sears, Kmart, Albertsons, Stop N' Shop and others. With a reach of more than 25 million consumers in more than 900 locations, Outcast delivers programming and targeted advertising to nearly 6,000 digital LCD screens with rich audio in high-traffic locations. Outcast is privately held and is headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif.
