Global Energy Energizes E-Z Mart Pilot Project

Three-store test could go chainwide

TEXARKANA, Texas -- Global Energy Group Inc. said it has begun a pilot program with E-Z Mart Stores Inc. in three locations that is intended to become systemwide upon successful completion.

Craig Kitchen, CEO of Global Energy, said E-Z Mart's stores are located in climates where Global Energy's patented EER+ technology and other energy saving services should significantly reduce E-Z Mart's energy bills.

The three pilot stores are located in Fayetteville, Ark.; Grand Prairie, Texas; and San Antonio, Texas. If the pilot program [image-nocss] is successful, E-Z Mart has advised the company that it intends to install EER+ technology and related products in all 310 current locations during the remainder of 2006, said Kitchen.

Global Energy said it would expect to realize approximately $2.8 million in revenues if E-Z Mart elects to acquire the EER+ technology and its other services and products for each of the chain's 310 stores.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Global Energy develops and commercializes new technologies that improve energy efficiency of existing products and processes, focusing on applications that involve thermodynamics and heat exchange. In addition to the convenience store industry, Global Energy is currently focused on opportunities in the nursing home industry, public schools, the drug store industry, military bases and other public and private enterprises.

Privately owned convenience store chain E-Z Mart, with more than 300 locations, is headquartered in Texarkana, Texas, with operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
