KSS Retail Announces Growth Strategy

Yael Cosset appointed CEO

CINCINNATI -- KSS Retail Inc., a global provider of price modeling and retail optimization solutions acquired by dunnhumby in early 2010, has announced a strategic plan to further expand its software and data analytics expertise for the development of packaged insight applications offerings for its retail customers. Leading this effort will be Yael Cosset, newly appointed chief executive officer at KSS Retail, previously executive vice president of consumer markets for dunnhumbyUSA.

KSS Retail will become dunnhumby's flagship for global software applications and a broader [image-nocss] retail client base. This new phase of development and growth, demands collaboration and synergy with dunnhumby core capabilities and skills--especially those around customer, said Edwina Dunn, co-founder of dunnhumby and chairman of KSS Retail's board of directors. "Yael's significant expertise in enterprise software and data analytics makes him a strong and creative leader to deliver our ambitious vision."

Cosset's leadership team will include more experienced dunnhumby leaders, including Adrian Newson, previously country manager for Korea, and now duly appointed vice president of European sales and operations, based in Manchester, U.K. KSS Retail will retain David Ristow, chief financial officer and corporate secretary; Blake Ryan, vice president of product development; Dr. Paul Helman, chief science officer, Lyle Walker, vice president of marketing; and Scott Stein, vice president of professional services.

"With the combined heritage of KSS Retail and dunnhumby, we will leverage new and powerful software solutions for our extended portfolio of clients in order to deliver the best value for shoppers around the world," Cosset said.
