Kum & Go Names Boettcher IT Director

Will oversee data security, compliance

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa--Regional convenience retailer Kum & Go LC has appointed Brian Boettcher to director of information technology.

Boettcher, of Waukee, Iowa, has been with Kum & Go for seven years and most recently held the position of director of network operations. As director of information technology, one of Boettcher's main responsibilities will be to oversee the company's data security and compliance.

The company said it has grown in recent years, placing it among the nation's largest retailers that [image-nocss] must meet stringent security measures established by the PCI Security Standards Council.

Boettcher's extensive IT experience will serve us well in staying on top of the ever-changing security guidelines, said Kyle Krause, president and CEO of West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go. In addition to this new responsibility, he will continue to help direct other IT initiatives for advancing the fast, friendly and convenient service we provide our stores and customers.

The Kum & Go chain has grown to more than 445 stores in 13 states (Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Colorado, Arkansas, Wyoming and Wisconsin).
