ATLANTA -- Linq3 announced recently that its Play at the Pump technology will be supported by Commander Site Controller from Verifone to power the sale of lottery draw games directly at the pump.
Play at the Pump brings the lottery to busy consumers, delivering a fast, convenient and secure way to play on-the-go, according to Linq3. With a swipe of a payment card at the gas pump, consumers can purchase lottery draw games in less than 20 seconds, the company said.
Players can also have lottery numbers and win notifications delivered to their mobile phone.
“Verifone Commander Site Controller already helps gas stations and convenience stores by driving efficiency, expediting payment acceptance and streamlining in-store and forecourt operations. Now with Linq3, we’re able to expand our offering’s ability to provide retailers with even more ways to conveniently and securely drive incremental revenue and engage customers while they fuel their vehicles,” said Dan Yienger, senior vice president and general manager of petroleum for Verifone.
“We’re very excited about the distribution scale that opens up for us by enabling Play at the Pump on Verifone’s Commander Site Controller,” said Daniel Cage, president and founder of Linq3, Atlanta. “Our innovative technology platform, integrated with that of key industry partners like Verifone, is all about helping lotteries to reach more consumers and retailers to realize more revenue.”
San Jose, Calif.-based Verifone connects 27 million payment devices to the cloud. The company has clients and partners in more than 150 countries, including retail brands, financial institutions and payment providers.
