KSS Fuels offers up-to-date data to help retailers assess consumer demand

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- KSS Fuels has announced the availability of an update to MPSI TrafficMetrix Current Year Estimates, its comprehensive, up-to-date traffic data for the United States. The new release provides traffic forecasts for more than 790,000 locations, representing a 5% increase in traffic counts over last year's release.

First released in 2011, MPSI TrafficMetrix Current Year Estimates provides any business operating brick-and-mortar outlets with the ability to accurately assess consumer demand around its locations – a unique service available only from KSS Fuels and a key component of its Data Intelligence suite.

It is common for published traffic count data to be at least one year old at the time it becomes available from the 6,000-plus organizations that collect it, and many counts do not get updated regularly as some collecting organizations do not have the resources to invest in new counts each year.

To address the aging traffic data, KSS Fuels uses its proprietary scientific library to forecast daily traffic counts for the current year, using 10 separate predictive models to account for variations in road layout, demographics and other local factors. Due to high demand for more up-to-date traffic counts, KSS Fuels has now updated its TrafficMetrix Current Year Estimates to align with current demographic conditions.
