SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. -- The MediaTile Co., a provider of cellular digital signage, has released an all-in-one turnkey narrowcast network platform for fuel stations, which only requires power to deploy and operate.
As with all of MediaTile's Digital-Sign-In-A-Box products, the MediaTile GasTV system eliminates the need for any onsite servers, network gear, onsite configuration and IT support personnel to deploy and use the system. MediaTile is now shipping units which are actively being deployed to licensed gas station TV network operators.
"We have used our patent-pending cellular digital signage platform to build a complete pump-top TV network that eliminates many of the costs and complexities associated with deploying and running a broadcast network across a chain of fuel stations, said Keith Kelsen, chairman and CEO of MediaTile, Scotts Valley, Calif.
The MediaTile GasTV system is a pump-top unit that can be configured and deployed on a variety of different manufacturers and sizes of fuel pumping stations. Included in the design of the system is a sliding mount that can be "sized" to match the width of a pump station along with panels that flush-mount to the fascia to deliver an integrated look while offering security. The system also uses a large widescreen 22-in. high-definition LCD display with stereo speakers.
MediaTile cellular digital signage and turnkey narrowcast networks can be deployed virtually anywhere, the company said, and controlled from a web browser. MediaTile systems are all-in-one displays that require no software installation, system configuration, network management or technical support to deploy and operate. With its built-in cellular-based internet network, embedded computer and integrated HD displays, MediaTile systems can be shipped to hundreds of locations.
By adding power, MediaTile displays connect over the Internet using a cellular-based broadband connection, and they are individually or collectively controlled through a secure web-based Broadcast Portal.
MediaTile Digital-Sign-In-A-Box systems are available in 19-in., 32-in., 42-in. and 47-in. HD LCD sizes, including touchscreen configurations. Also available is a separate Component Player that can be connected to almost any pre-existing displayfrom 5-in. display panels to large outdoor electronic billboards.
