Murphy Oil Implements DTN Portal Solutions

Integrates branded web components into existing site

EL DORADO, Ark. -- Murphy Oil Corp. has implemented DTN Portal Solutions. DTN, a major business-to-business provider of real-time market, news and weather information services, hosts a branded online message center and allocation viewer, integrated into Murphy's website to increase the effectiveness of Murphy's communication strategies. It can drive sales and encourage customer loyalty with enhanced features in a branded environment.

Murphy will continue to send messaging through the DTN communications platform, so customers have access to critical business [image-nocss] messages from their existing DTN account. Murphy's branded online message center provides advanced search and expanded archive capabilities for customers, who can view levels of remaining fuel credit allocation to make smarter fuel dispatch decisions with Murphy's allocation viewer.

We were able to implement DTN Portal Solutions without altering our current business practices, systems or software, said Laura Brown, credit manager for Murphy Oil. Portal Solutions creates a private-branded customer experience, which improves our customer service and communications, helping us differentiate our company in a competitive marketplace.

DTN currently hosts online message centers and allocation viewers for top-tier fuel suppliers, along with more than 1,500 websites, it said.

Murphy has been a yearly participant at the DTN User's Summit, and they've been instrumental in offering suggestions and feedback, said Robert Gordon, CEO of DTN. Murphy can now communicate efficiently through a variety of methods to their customers, offering choices to customers without disrupting their business.
