NCR Wins American-Israel Chamber of Commerce Award

Recognized by Southeast division for acquisition of Retalix

DULUTH, Ga. -- NCR Corp. has been awarded the Deal of the Year Award from the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC) Southeast Division for its acquisition of Ra'anana, Israel-based Retalix.

The Retalix division of NCR Retail is a global leader in innovative, integrated software solutions and services for high-volume, high-complexity retailers and distributors. This includes grocery, convenience, fuel, health and drug and department stores.

The acquisition demonstrates NCR's commitment to its strategy and continued transformation to a hardware-enabled, software-driven business model, delivering solutions that materially improve business processes while enabling seamless consumer experiences across touch points, locations and channels.

"NCR today has a talent pool and solutions portfolio richer than anything we have had before, giving us the ability to advance and accelerate our growth as a solutions company and the retail innovation leader," said Scott Kingsfield, NCR Retail senior vice president and general manager. "We're honored to receive this award and to have the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce recognize the global impact of this deal."

Criteria for the AICC Deal of the Year Award included a Southeast-based company having a connection with Israel or an Israeli company with operations in the Southeast; economic impact of the deal; and benefit to each side in the deal.

"The size of the transaction, the global scope and the transformative nature of the deal for both companies clearly puts NCR's acquisition of Retalix among the top business deals of the year," said AICC president Tom Glaser. "This deal enhances the ongoing transformation and reinvention of NCR, a global tech company, and builds on the innovative solutions NCR can bring to market, so we are excited to recognize this major acquisition with our Deal of the Year Award."

NCR closed on the purchase of Retalix in February of 2013.

The award was presented at the AICC's annual Eagle Star Awards ceremony on May 30 in Atlanta.

The American-Israel Chamber of Commerce is a bi-national business association with the mission of increasing economic development by fostering understanding, cooperation, and business relationships between Israel and the Southeast. Since its founding in 1992, AICC has been involved in completed transactions valued at more than $1 billion, creating jobs and benefiting the economies of both Israel and the Southeast. AICC targets a range of projects involving import, export, research and development, direct investment and joint ventures. Key areas of focus include software, communications, cleantech, life sciences and security.

Duluth, Ga.-based NCR is a global technology. Its assisted- and self-service solutions and comprehensive support services address the needs of retail, financial, travel, hospitality, gaming, public sector, telecom carrier and equipment organizations in more than 100 countries.
