Nice N Easy Sets Up Webcam

Construction of Brewerton store "live" on web; Tamburro elected NYACS chairman

BREWERTON, N.Y. -- A new Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes' convenience store location under construction in Brewerton, N.Y., "is going up fast and scheduled to open around the first of November," the company said on its website. To allow interested consumers "to keep up-to-the minute tabs on the progress," the company has set up a webcam at the site.

Meanwhile, during last week's New York State Association of Convenience Stores (NYACS) Fall Conference in Alexandria Bay, N.Y., Peter Tamburro, executive vice president of Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes, was elected chairman of the NYACS retail board of directors.

He succeeds Michael Newman of NOCO Express LLC, who served as chairman for the past 28 months.

Founded in 1986, Albany, N.Y.-based NYACS is a private, not-for-profit trade association dedicated to unifying, serving and representing the c-store industry in the state of New York. Its retail membership consists of 250 retail companies, collectively operating more than 1,500 locations that serve nearly 1.3 million customers per day.

Canastota, N.Y.-based Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes operates more than 80 stores in the state of New York. Fuel brands include CITGO, Mobil, Sunoco, Valero and its own private brand.
