PCATS Membership Roster Grows

MAPCO Express, QuickChek among 21 new companies

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The Petroleum & Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) has announced that its board of advisors has approved 21 new companies for membership. Four companies--MAPCO Express, Brentwood, Tenn.; Abierto Networks, Eliot, Maine; Koupon Media, Frisco, Texas; and Linq3 Technologies, New York--have joined at the Gold level of membership, enabling these companies to vote on standards and participate in the management of this nonprofit organization.

"It is the engagement of member companies that make PCATS a critical ally in the success of our industry," said Drew Mize, chairman of the PCATS Membership & Marketing Committee and COO of The Pinnacle Corp., Arlington, Texas.

"PCATS standards and technical advocacy is at work in virtually every store, 24/7, providing efficient interoperability and efficiency in our industry's retail IT systems. Companies that engage in PCATS' work understand how that work results in higher profitability through lowering costs while boosting IT effectiveness," he said.

PCATS also approved eight companies for Silver level membership: QuickChek Corp., Whitehouse Station, N.J.; Ballantyne Brands, Charlotte, N.C.; OPW Fuel Management Systems, Hodgkins, Ill.; Comdata Corp., Brentwood, Tenn.; Avalon Informatica y Servicios, Madrid; Soneco, Oulu, Finland; iControl Systems USA, Burtonsville, Md., and B2k Systems, Birmingham, Ala.
