Software provider appoints former Radiant, NCR exec to role

TEMPLE, Texas—PDI, a provider of enterprise-class software systems to the convenience-retail, petroleum-marketing and foodservice industries, recently announced the appointment of Jimmy Frangis as chief operating officer.

Frangis led a successful partnering strategy between another software provider, Radiant Systems, and PDI several years ago, Gilkerson said.

Frangis spent the last 18 years holding multiple roles at NCR Corp., Duluth, Ga., and Radiant, which NCR acquired in 2011. In his past jobs, he served as vice president of several divisions, including payment services, retail services, grocery and convenience retail, and petroleum and convenience retail.

PDI provides software, hardware and professional services to convenience retailers and wholesale petroleum marketers. Over 325 companies operating more than 31,000 locations worldwide use PDI’s software systems for retail automation, supply-chain management, business intelligence, financial reporting and employee time and labor management.
