PerformanceRetail to Tout New Deals

Will announce 10 InSite agreements at NACStech

AUSTIN, Texas -- PerformanceRetail, a leading provider of web-based software for the high-velocity retail industry, will announce next month that 10 new customers are piloting the PerformanceRetail's InSite software and services suite to help gain enhanced item-level visibility into sales transactions, loss prevention metrics, category management analytics, market basket dynamics and to help drive improvements in overall store operations performance.

These new customers, eight of which are being deployed on top of industry-specific legacy systems, are [image-nocss] headquartered across the country in eight states, and bring PerformanceRetail's total stores under contract to more than 1,200.

PerformanceRetail will be discussing this news May 16-18 at NACStech 2005, the primary technology event for convenience retailers and petroleum marketers, in Nashville, Tenn., the company said.

The surge of interest we have seen from retailers in recent months in the new version of our web-based analytics and store operations software is a good indicator of the industry's need to evolve and improve, said Marc Hafner, president and CEO of PerformanceRetail, Austin, Texas. Retailers across the industry have realized they need a clearer picture of the detailed dynamics driving their businesses in order to stay competitive in today's marketplace. Retailers seeking this goal continue to tell us that they need modular solutions that can be deployed quickly, enabling them to get started in weeks rather than months, speeding their time to value.

In addition to highlighting recent client agreements, PerformanceRetail will be demonstrating key components of its InSite solution at NACStech. The InSite Store Operations Suite enables retailers to improve operational efficiency and customer service by automating time-intensive processes like stock replenishment, inventory receiving, supplier management and inventory counts with mobile handheld scanning devices. The InSite Retail Intelligence Suite is specifically designed to provide enhanced item-level visibility, merchandising analytics and loss prevention metrics for InSite or third-party backoffice and pricebook systems.

All of the InSite software suites are web-based, delivered as a secure service over the Internet and can be housed in either PerformanceRetail's datacenter or the customer's environment. Further, each of the modular InSite software suites are designed to integrate with existing, customer-installed systems and can be separately implemented at the retailer's pace, simplifying implementation, reducing risk and protecting the retailer's past technology investments.
