ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. said that it has joined the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) as a new participating organization, providing guidance and input to creating and maintaining standards used to secure the payment card environment.

Endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard and Visa, PCI SSC requires merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to follow information security controls and processes to ensure data integrity.
