Pinnacle Launches Multi-Site Skimming Prevention App

Designed to help protect multiple locations from fraud at the pump

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp., a tech supplier for retail convenience stores and fuel inventory management, has released an expanded version of its single-site anti-skimming app called the SkimDefend Multi-Site Mobile App.

The new app was released Monday and gives operators a tool to keep and track records of practices to ensure security at the pump across multiple locations. The app tracks the placement and visual inspections of any sticker or label placed between the terminal body and access doors to help mark if a pump has been tampered with.

Additional features include the ability to:

  • Register labels by store and GPS location, and report discrepancies.
  • Track each label with a unique barcode identifier.
  • Add comments or emails to communicate directions or concerns to operations and loss prevention.

Both the single-store and multi-unit versions of the app are available on the AppStore and Google Play. While the single-store version is free, the new multi-site version costs $10 per store per month, in addition to a one-time $99 setup fee.

Arlington, Texas-based Pinnacle provides automation services, mobile technology and supply-chain management tools to the convenience store and petroleum industries.
