Pinnacle, PaySpot in POS Partnership

Point-of-sale system interfaced with prepaid electronic payment processing solutions

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. has forged a partnership with PaySpot Inc., a leading U.S. prepaid electronic payment processor. Pinnacle's Palm POS point-of-sale system will interface to PaySpot's suite of prepaid solutions that include prepaid wireless airtime, prepaid long distance, prepaid debit cards, prepaid gift cards, bill payment, money transfer, merchant processing and check guarantee.

Integration will be completed and available in November 2006.

"In an effort to provide our retail partners with first-class products [image-nocss] and efficient ways to deliver them, we have partnered with Pinnacle, a leader in POS systems, said Jamison Jaworski, senior vice president of sales for PaySpot. "Having PaySpot products delivered via Palm POS results in improved operations for retailers. For example, the work of sales clerks becomes more streamlined when their efforts are coordinated by using one machine for all store sales. In addition, when transactions are integrated on the same piece of equipment on which they are also performing other tasks, clerks become more effective as products are easily activated, and their speed of service is increased."

Denise Lewis, Pinnacle's retail solutions manager, said, "Convenience store retailers can use Pinnacle's technology coupled with that of PaySpot's to capitalize on the double-digit growth of the prepaid segment. More revenue will be generated at their sites by eliminating the need of additional hardware devices on the counter and by reducing the risks associated with recharge cards. Pinnacle clients can also benefit from gaining full access to PaySpot's broad variety of prepaid cards including branded gift cards and wireless cards from national and regional carriers."

Palm POS, running under the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems, interfaces to a variety of devices including pole displays, security cameras, lottery and voice confirmation. Nationwide, it is used to process upwards of $9 billion in total c-store sales and is certified on seven different credit payment networks, the company said.

Leawood, Kansas-based PaySpot, a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide, offers a variety of prepaid products including prepaid wireless, prepaid long distance, prepaid gift cards, prepaid debit cards, bill payment, money transfer, check guarantee, merchant processing, age verification, prepaid phones, handset accessories and prepaid mobile content.
