Pinnacle Retools Website

FTC, API, STI offer upgrades, too

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. has relaunched its website, www.pinncorp.com.

Changes to the website include a new look and feel that makes navigation simple, fast and user friendly. A single sign-on now provides personalized access to general marketing and client support services. Users of the website will still see the same content including current product information, the latest news and resources for clients.

The primary consideration in designing and building [image-nocss] the new Pinnacle website was how to provide for visitors the most power and ease of use with the most sophisticated technology available, said Judy Schmidt, manager of marketing and communications for Arlington, Texas-based Pinnacle. This new technology allows a more personalized experience and lays the foundation for Pinnacle to quickly respond to our users' future needs.

Pinnacle is a major player in the automation technology industry focusing on the convenience store and petroleum industries. It delivers products that automate the broad spectrum of c-store operations and supply chain management of fuel operations.

Meanwhile, here's a roundup of some other new or enhanced websites:

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has launched www.ftc.gov/ftc/oilgas, an enhanced oil and gas website designed to provide consumers with information on the issues surrounding the price of gasoline and what they can do to get the most out of every gallon they buy. Along with the consumer stuff, the site has links to FTC reports on the oil and gas industry, as well as links to every press release on FTC enforcement actions related to petroleum, in both the merger and nonmerger areas. Links also can be found to recent congressional testimony on gasoline prices and oil industry consolidation. The American Petroleum Institute (API) has debuted www.2006fuels.org, which includes information about the new fuel spec changes that come into effect this year. It also has posted an Oil Market Primer on its website, www.api.org. The Steel Tank Institute (STI) has rolled out a new alternative fuels informational link on its website: www.steeltank.com/alternate_fuels.aspx. It provides specifications and resources for buyers of ethanol and biodiesel blends of fuels, including E10, E85 and B20. This link provides valuable information to tank owners, engineers, regulators and consultants on alternative fuels, said Wayne Geyer, executive vice president of STI. It provides a much-needed resource on fuel compatibility for the steel tank.
