OTTAWA, Ont. -- Precidia Technologies Inc., a leading provider of integrated payment products and solutions, has launched the POSLynxMINI, a compact, single-port payment appliance that offers POSLynx technology in a device that is smaller than a credit card.
The POSLynxMINI integrates payments with low-end cash registers, a solution that is designed for budget-conscious small merchants with single or multi-lane locations. The POSLynxMINI works with a wide range of cash register models, including Casio, Samsung and Sharp. In some cases, the POSLynxMINI can power the cash register, maximizing POS counter space.
This payment appliance, which is managed and monitored by the NetVu management server, features ease of implementation, management and security. Based on a Linux core, the POSLynxMINI features an RS232 interface and an ethernet port. The POSLynxMINI is part of the POSLynx series, a family of secure hardware platforms for Precidia's payment middleware.
The POSLynxMINI goes above and beyond industry security requirements. With PCI PA-DSS validation, merchants know they are using a secure solution. The device also features SSL encryption.
To add value to Precidia's integrated payment offering, the POSLynxMINI is deployed, monitored and managed remotely by the NetVu management server. Available via web browser on a 24/7 basis, NetVu offers data to assist in supporting merchants, such as network and device status and alerts for network failure. The MerchantVu store-level portal is a derivative of NetVu, designed for merchants. Also available on a 24/7 basis from any location, MerchantVu features transaction data, alerts for fraudulent transactions and tools such as batch closure.
