PS Food Mart Ignites Digital Marketing Initiatives

Partners with OpenStore by GasBuddy on website, mobile app

HOMER, Mich. -- Folk Oil Co. dba PS Food Mart recently launched a new website and is providing a free mobile app for customers with smartphones. The new PS Food Mart site showcases store amenities, products, promotions, gasoline prices and more. While in the store, customers can redeem coupons on their phone and send feedback directly from the app.

"PS Food Mart is excited to partner with OpenStore in the release of our new digital marketing initiative. This initiative includes a newly designed website and a free PS Food Mart mobile app," said Dick Folk, president and CEO. "Both will help us build a meaningful relationship with our customers, and allow us to raise the bar on our longstanding commitment to providing quality and convenient service."

Homer, Mich.-based Folk Oil currently owns and manages 31 convenience stores located in southcentral Michigan and northern Ohio. CITGO-, Sunoco- or PS-branded fuel is available at the PS Food Mart locations.

PS Food Mart is committed to philanthropy efforts and helps fight local hunger. In 2010, the company created PS Food Mart Charities through the Homer Area Community Foundation. The annual Fight Hunger Give Hope Campaign provides financial support to several Michigan and Ohio Food Banks and food pantries in communities where PS Food Mart operates. The "Fight Hunger. Give Hope." campaign has raised more than $100,000 in two years and provided more than a half-million meals to those that are hungry. The 2012 Fight Hunger Give Hope Campaign runs from March 1 through March 18. PS Food Mart will offer a $1 donation to the campaign this year for each customer that downloads the new PS Food Mart mobile app.
