Putting Hess to the Test

Crompco to guide UST compliance
NEW YORK -- Crompco LLC has entered into a five-year exclusive contract with Hess Corp. of Woodbridge, N.J., to manage the retailer's underground storage tank (UST) compliance testing schedules, station testing and various other compliance-related needs at Hess' 950 plus sites.

In this agreement, Crompco will continue its role as Hess' sole compliance management and testing service provider in their entire marketing area.

"Throughout our nearly 30 years in business, Crompco's goal has been to work proactively with service station operators in a partnership to protect [image-nocss] the environment and the communities where their stations reside. Hess is continually in the forefront of station compliance," said Rusty Carfagno, CEO at Crompco.

Hess Corp., New York, is a global independent energy company engaged in the exploration for and production of crude oil and natural gas, as well as in refining and marketing refined petroleum products, natural gas and electricity.

Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based Crompco's multiple service offerings include: underground tank and line testing, inspection services, ATG certifications, tank cleaning, cathodic protection testing, sump system repair, secondary containment testing, compliance schedule management, and owner operator testing. Crompco recently launched their newest service, AccuMeasure, a meter calibration service that it owns exclusive rights to in the United States.
