QuikTrip Store Sees Comdata Milestone

Adairsville, Ga., location is 500th Smart Solutions POS installation

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. -- At a QuikTrip in Adairsville, Ga., Comdata Corp. has reached a major milestone by installing its 500th Smart Solutions point-of-sale (POS) system, electronic payment solutions company said.

A provider of POS solutions for nearly 20 years, Comdata launched the Smart Solutions product suite in late 2009. It enables store operators to consolidate convenience store, fuel and other profit centers into a single platform. This flexibility allows stores to create operational efficiencies that improve both performance and throughput. PCI PA-DSS compliant, Smart Solutions is fully configurable and integrated with multiple payment types, including the leading fleet cards.

"We are excited to celebrate this achievement with Comdata," said Roy Brockmeier, corporate operations program manager for QuikTrip. "Smart Solutions has delivered key benefits to our locations, chief among them the ease of use and simplified training the system provides. We pay a premium to ensure the staff at each of our stores is top-notch, so we are continually seeking solutions like this that enable our team members to be more efficient and truly focused on customer service."

Steve Stevenson, president of Comdata, said, "Comdata has worked hard to educate the market on the value of the Smart Solutions systems and the ability it provides to manage all transactions, including all revenue centers and fuel purchases, with a single system. We are honored to celebrate this achievement with a valued customer like QuikTrip, and I look forward to continued growth as more fuel retailers embrace the flexibility, efficiency and forward-thinking technology the solution provides."

Comdata is a leading business-to-business provider of electronic payment solutions. As an issuer and a processor, the company provides fleet, corporate payment, virtual card and prepaid solutions to more than 25,000 customers. There are more than seven million Comdata Cards, enabling more than $31 billion in transactions annually. Founded in 1969 and based in Brentwood, Tenn., Comdata is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceridian.

QuikTrip Corp., Tulsa, Okla., is a $9 billion company with more than 590 stores in 10 states.
