ATLANTA -- RBS Lynk, an electronic payment processor, announced certification of its Integra payment solution for independent grocers using NCR Corp.'s Advanced Checkout Solution (ACS).
The Integra solution supports multiple communication options including dial-up, DSL, broadband and frame-relay, enabling supermarkets to process high-speed credit, debit, EBT and gift-card transactions.
Once available solely to the nation's larger retailers, ACS now is available with features that make it possible for resellers and independent [image-nocss] grocers to readily install, configure, update and support the solution.
"RBS Lynk has done an outstanding job in meeting the certification standards for ACS," said Greg Egan, Dayton, Ohio-based NCR's retail software vice president. "With an installed base of more than 35,000 checkout lanes, ACS represents a tremendous growth opportunity for NCR and our NCR RealPartner resellers in the independent grocery retailing market. This opportunity has been further enhanced by the availability of the Integra payment processing solution. We are pleased that RBS Lynk has provided dedicated resources for our advanced solutions for the grocery industry."
With Atlanta-based RBS Lynk's integrated payment processing solution, grocery retailers can reduce response time for transactions and significantly reduce the possibility of double charges due to communication or connection errors, which lowers the risk of chargebacks.
"We are thrilled to expand our product line to meet the needs of the evolving grocery market," said Ken Paull, RBS Lynk's senior vice president of national sales. "The addition of NCR's ACS to the suite of POS software supported by RBS Lynk, enhances our full range of POS solutions certified on the Integra platform."
