Roady's, FuelQuest Announce Preferred Vendor Partnership

Truckstop branding group outsourcing fuel management service

NEW PLYMOUTH, Idaho & HOUSTON -- Roady's Truck Stops, the largest branded network of independently owned truckstops in the United States, and FuelQuest Inc., a leading on-demand software and services company for the global downstream energy industry, have partnered to provide Roady's Truck Stops access to higher fuel margins via FuelQuest Fuel Center, an outsourced fuel management service.

With Fuel Center, Roady's Truck Stops can now benefit from the same fuel purchasing power and fuel management capabilities employed by company-operated chains.

"Our partnership with FuelQuest will provide Roady's Truck Stops access to a proven fuel management solution that allows them to compete more effectively at the pump," said Bob Lee, president of Roady's. "FuelQuest already manages fuel for a growing number of Roady's truckstops, and has shown it can not only improve fuel margins, but also drive greater in-store traffic. Partnering with FuelQuest was an easy decision for us as they represent a critical addition to our portfolio of solutions that positively impact our customers' bottom lines."

Roady's Truck Stops focuses on organizing the strength of nearly 300 truckstops across 43 states to offer fuel and services to the trucking industry and compete effectively with company-operated chains. By leveraging the power of its network and partnering with carefully selected vendors, Roady's is able to provide discounts on a wide range of products and services including fuel, foodservice, grocery, beverages, parts and accessories and professional services. Roady's now offers fuel management services via its relationship with FuelQuest as a vehicle to significant fuel savings.

With its team of fuel experts and industry-leading Fuel Management System (FMS) software, Fuel Center forecasts and sources fuel acting as a supplier-independent extension of the customer. Fuel Center assumes other critical fuel management activities including order management and fuel, freight, and tax charge reconciliation.

These capabilities allow Fuel Center to provide its customers lower fuel costs, reduced working capital requirements, increased security of supply and greater in-store traffic and sales.

Fuel Center also provides value management dashboards so Roady's members can actively monitor their return on investment from the Fuel Center service.

"We are excited to expand our relationship with Roady's and become a Preferred Vendor within their network of truckstops," said Ryan Mossman, vice president and general manager of Fuel Center. "Roady's truckstop owners can harness the power of outsourced fuel management through FuelQuest Fuel Center, improving fuel margins as well as their ability to compete more effectively in the marketplace."
