SiriCOMM Completes Truckstop Wi-Fi Rollout

Network available at more than 450 Pilot, Love's and Petro Stop sites in 41 states

JOPLIN, Mo. -- SiriCOMM Inc. said that it has deployed more than 450 SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spots in high-traffic locations nationwide. The company has completed its initial rollout with Pilot Travel Centers LLC, Love's Travel Stops Inc. and Petro Stopping Centers.

Reaching 450 sites in 41 states is a significant milestone for SiriCOMM, said Hank Hoffman, president and CEO of Joplin, Mo.-based SiriCOMM. Providing services to a highly mobile community like truck drivers, it's important that our customers can gain access in as many locations as possible covering [image-nocss] as wide an area as possible. Now that we've reached this important goal, we will begin to focus on adding more value-added services over the network.

SiriCOMM offers InTouch wireless Internet access at each SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spot. Subscribers have always-on wireless access to the Internet anytime they are in a SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spot. This gives truck drivers and other highway travelers a convenient communication tool for both business and personal use while on the road.

In conjunction with completing the roll out, SiriCOMM launched a comprehensive marketing campaign of InTouch that includes print media as well as onsite advertising. SiriCOMM is working closely with its value added reseller partners to promote the InTouch service.

SiriCOMM is an application service provider specializing in wireless Internet connectivity and productivity applications tailored to the transportation industry. By providing both network access and a robust application host platform, SiriCOMM delivers a responsive and convenient way for all industry stakeholders to interact with information needed on a regular basis. The company uses Wi-Fi technologies to create Hot Spots at locations convenient to highway travel.
