Telvent DTN Takes Schneider Electric Name

Migrates to parent company brand to reinforce consistent identity

OMAHA, Neb. -- Telvent DTN, a real-time technology solutions and information supplier for fuel marketers, became part of Schneider Electric in 2011. It has now migrated to the Schneider Electric brand.

Together, they offer comprehensive and integrated solutions for the oil and gas industry--from station monitoring and control, to the enterprise back office, to pricing and market intelligence systems. As a single provider, they now offer efficiency solutions for upstream, midstream and downstream markets. So to reinforce a consistent identity and its reputation as a global leader, it now has one name: Schneider Electric.

Schneider Electric, a French-based  company founded in 1838, acquired Telvent in September 2011. There are 130,000 employees working in more than 100 countries for this global specialist in efficiencies, supply and energy management technology. Telvent DTN is part of that workforce.

Schneider Electric offers a complete suite of information management solutions designed to optimize efficiency of refineries and terminals, suppliers, marketers and energy traders and all upstream operations, including pipeline monitoring and control and the pipeline operator's business processes.

This suite includes pricing, market intelligence and back-office solutions. Schneider Electric also offers solutions for real-time refined fuels supply chain management, and advanced-technology pipeline operations control and business management solutions, while providing main automation contractor expertise.

For petroleum marketers, Schneider Electric offers fuel prices, advanced tools and back-office integration to support business decisions. Petroleum suppliers gain an advantage with Schneider Electric products that provide operations control, supply chain management and market intelligence for improved control and decision making. Energy traders benefit from data services for effective risk management, while terminal operators look to the company's automation services that optimize operations, safety and regulatory compliance. For pipeline and upstream operations, Schneider Electric provides control and information management to ensure secure, reliable and efficient operations.
