truenorth Selects FuelQuest

Will use Fuel Management System, ForeSite to streamline operations
TOLEDO, Ohio -- Petroleum distributor and convenience store operator truenorth energy llc has selected global downstream energy industry on-demand software and services company FuelQuest Inc.'s Fuel Management System (FMS) and ForeSite.

Established in 1919 as Lyden Oil, truenorth supplies petroleum to more than 320 stores throughout Illinois, Ohio and Michigan through its truenorth Trucking subsidiary. The company will use FMS and ForeSite to automate its fuel inventory forecasting, planning and dispatching to reduce operating costs, increase fuel margins and improve truck [image-nocss] utilization.

"After more than 90 years in business, greater automation will allow us to decrease fuel costs and improve utilization of our trucks."

FuelQuest powers the largest bulk fuel management network in North America, it said, providing its customers with an end-to-end solution that lowers the cost of procuring, managing, and accounting for fuel. FMS and ForeSite will streamline truenorth fuel operations enabling fewer run-outs and retains through frequent, automated polling and just-in-time inventory management; lower working capital requirements by optimizing fuel inventory levels; and reduce overall fuel costs with automated inventory management, a self-service dealer portal and truck scheduling tools.

Together, they operate or supply more than 320 Shell franchise sites in communities throughout Illinois, Ohio and Michigan.
