Valero Corner Stores Selects Skyline's PriceAdvantage

Fuel price management software replacing in-house application

SAN ANTONIO -- Valero Retail Holdings Inc., Valero Energy Corp.'s network of company-owned stores, has selected PriceAdvantage Fuel Price Management Software to manage and control retail fuel pricing for their one thousand Corner Store locations. PriceAdvantage is a division of Skyline Products.

The Valero Corner Store team created its own in-house pricing application more than 10 years ago. That application is approaching a technology end-of-life for the database. "We have been very successful with our own home-grown fuel pricing software, but it is time for us to add new functionality. After evaluating all available market solutions, we were pleased to find PriceAdvantage," said Brian Skillern, Valero's director of retail marketing--fuel, pricing and transportation.

"Valero is a best-in-class petroleum marketer, and we are excited to welcome Valero's company-owned retail division as a customer and partner," Aaron McHugh, head of PriceAdvantage division, said. "Over the years we have assembled a team of software experts who are hyper-focused on creating easy-to-use and easy-to-deploy automated fuel pricing solutions. We are passionate about Fuel Pricing Software, and we are pleased that Valero has recognized our system as the industry leading solution."

PriceAdvantage is a highly specialized retail fuel pricing solution for the convenience store industry, designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a retailer's pricing process. The ability to change prices immediately at the point of sale (POS), fuel pumps and electronic price signs from the centralized headquarters location with one click makes the solution unique in the industry.

Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Skyline Products is a developer, manufacturer and provider of fuel pricing and central control software, electronic price displays and dynamic message signs to the fuels, transportation and government vertical segments in North America. The PriceAdvantage division allows fuel retailers to collect competitive data, determine optimized fuel pricing and automate price changes at the POS, fuel pump and electronic price signs, creating a streamlined closed-loop fuel pricing process.

San Antonio-based Valero, through its subsidiaries, is an international manufacturer and marketer of transportation fuels, other petrochemical products and power.
