SAN ANTONIO -- Valero Energy Corp. has selected Transaction Network Services Inc., a provider of business-critical network and data communications services for transaction-oriented applications, to provide broadband-based Internet Protocol (IP) networks and transaction solutions for its wholesale branded Valero locations.

The FusionPoint services from TNS enable Valero to set a technology standard to ensure store applications flow through one broadband pipe, simplifying connectivity and delivering significant savings in time and maintenance costs. Valero, [image-nocss] a marketer of refined products such as gasoline and diesel fuels, will market and contract directly with its wholesale distributor network.
