SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Joe Mach, who joined Verifone in 2000, has been promoted to the role of president of North America for Verifone, effective immediately, the company said in a statement provided to CSP Daily News. Mach will succeed Jennifer Miles, who is leaving the company to spend more time with her family.
Mach is responsible for overseeing operations for our North America region, including financial, mobility, retail, transit, retail banking, hospitality, security, health care and government business units. Additionally, he is responsible for overseeing Verifone’s Global Petroleum Systems, which includes Petro Media Sales.
“Joe Mach is a high-caliber executive who understands the desires and needs of our clients and has been instrumental in our evolution towards a services business in North America," said Paul Galant, CEO of Verifone Holdings Inc. "We are grateful to Jennifer for her service and her accomplishments, including building a highly capable team to succeed her.”
Mach, who previously served as senior vice president of Verifone’s North America Vertical Solutions team, is a 25-year veteran of the retail and technology industries. At Verifone, he has been responsible for the company’s leading position in many of its key retail verticals and, most recently, in the company’s transition to services and solutions in North America.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Joe for the past 16 years. He’s a talented and passionate leader who deeply understands the evolving payments and commerce landscape and what it means for his clients,” said Miles. “He is an exceptional ambassador of the Verifone brand and an ideal leader to help guide merchants and acquirers across all of Verifone’s North American verticals through the next stage of their journey.”
Prior to joining Verifone, Joe spent 10 years at Datamax, a leading international provider of bar code printer and RFID solutions.
