Women in Payments Honors Blackhawk Network CEO With Award for Innovation

Awards recognize female leaders in the payments industry

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Blackhawk Network CEO and President, Talbott Roche, has been named the 2017 recipient of the "Award for Innovation" in the second annual Women in Payments USA Awards. Decided by a committee of women with diverse payments industry expertise, the awards honor female leaders in the U.S. payments ecosystem in six different categories.

The "Award for Innovation" recognizes a woman who has promoted payments innovation through creativity, vision and perseverance in her organization or the payments industry as a whole. Roche was selected for her pioneering ideas that have significantly impacted the course of payments globally. From her initial concept of the third-party gift card mall; to positioning Blackhawk at the forefront of the merging of payments, prepaid and loyalty; to the important expansion of branded value products into incentive and reward channels, Roche's advancements have helped Blackhawk to grow into a diversified multichannel company with operations in 26 countries.

"Talbott has been a tireless advocate for the payments industry and frequently works with consumer and business stakeholders to propel the industry forward," said Bill Tauscher, executive chairman of Blackhawk Network.
