Alon Brands Retail

Alon Brands Retail owns and operates what was formerly Southwest Convenience Stores (SCS), with about 300 locations branded 7-Eleven in Central and West Texas and in New Mexico.

Alon Brands Retail is the largest domestic licensee of 7-Eleven in the United States. The original company, Southwest Convenience Stores, was formed in 1993 when Permian Basin Investments acquired 152 stores from Southland Corp., now known as 7-Eleven Inc. When Alon Israel Oil Company Ltd. purchased the Big Spring, Texas, refinery assets in August 2000, it acquired a 34.4% interest in SCS and added the brand of Alon USA. In May 2001, Alon USA completed the acquisition of the remaining interest in the convenience stores.

In 2011-2012, the company underwent a total rebranding to Alon Brands Retail. The FINA brand was retired in spring 2012 and the ALON fuel brand has emerged at all branded locations in eight states, as well as its 7-Eleven stores.
