The first BFS Foods convenience store opened in the early 1980s in Mt. Lake Park, Md. The company now has more than 63 BFS Foods locations and eight liquor stores in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Maryland. BFS Foods’ parent company is private, family-owned BFS Cos., which has been in business since 1974, starting as an agriculture business (Bruceton Farm Service) and expanding into bulk petroleum and convenience stores.
