CEFCO’s parent company is Fikes Wholesale Inc., a multibranded petroleum products marketer that has been in business for more than 50 years. The CEFCO chain of stores and network of dealers offer fuel and convenience items in stores known for their cleanliness and safe environment. Many locations provide additional services, including restaurants and car washes. Fikes distributes fuel products from Shell, ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, CITGO and Valero to retail stations throughout the southeastern United States. In addition, Fikes serves many unbranded and commercial accounts with gasoline and diesel fuel.
The chain has been growing every year for the past several years and has more than 2,000 employees. In 2013, the chain sold underperforming stores and purchased two stores. In 2012, CEFCO built five new stores, including prototype stores in Harker Heights, Temple and Lott, Texas. It also acquired the 63-unit Taylor Food Mart stores in West Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
