Flash Foods is part of The Jones Co., which also includes a grocery-distribution arm (Distribution South) and a fuel-distribution company (Fuel South), both of which deliver to Flash Foods stores and several car dealerships.

The chain opened four stores in Georgia in 2012 and one in Florida. One new store was built in 2013, four locations were razed and rebuilt, and numerous stores were remodeled.

Stores have a minimum of four multi-product dispensers (MPDs) for eight fueling positions per site, although larger stores have eight MPDs for 16 fueling positions. Sixty-five stores have beer caves dubbed “Beer Kegs” stocked with cold multipacks of beer. The company also operates 23 restaurants, some of which are freestanding, including Subway, Taco Bell, Krystal and Dairy Queen.

Flash Foods is known for its “Rewards in a Flash” loyalty program. Started in 2005, the program today has 600,000 active users and has grown to account for 35% of total transactions.
